Lagos is Set To Celebrate World Music Day at #MML2018 | June 21st – 24th

In a bid to join in the celebration of the World Music Day, the city of Lagos in Nigeria have put together 16 Free Concerts in 4 Days! to mark this years celebration.

Attention Lagos! It’s the week of World Music Day and Showgear and the organizing partners of Make Music Lagos 2018 are bringing 16 free concerts your way on Thursday, June 21st, 2018 across various locations in the city of Lagos, and a free mega concert tagged the “Lagos Shutdown” on Sunday, June 24th, 2018 at the Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island featuring Waje, Vector, Praiz, Johnny Drille, Femi Leye, Tim Godfrey, Folabi Nuel, Alternate Sound, Mela, Boom Sha, DJ Cypha and more. In addition to concerts, there will also be opportunities to learn the following:

Learn how to play music instruments at the Learn to Play events, which runs from the 19th to 21st of June at Lagos State Education District 1, Agege and on World Music Day (Thursday, June 21st) at Ikeja City Mall and Domino’s Pizza locations in Yaba and Lekki (Admiralty 2) from noon to 2pm.

Learn how to DJ from DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Nana, DJ Magnum, DJ Cypha and other leading DJs at the Learn to DJ events taking place on World Music Day (Thursday, June 21st) at Ikeja City Mall from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm and the University of Lagos (UNILAG) from 2pm to 4pm.

Learn how to produce songs from leading Nigerian producers like VC Perez, Fliptyce, Olaitan Dada, PSykes and others at the Street Studio events taking place on World Music Day (Thursday, June 21st) at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) from noon to 2pm and Domino’s Pizza locations in Yaba and Lekki (Admiralty 2) from 2pm to 4pm.

And as it is the global practice of Make Music Day, ALL EVENTS ARE FREE!
