Former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Deputy Governor Dr. Obadiah Mailafia has arrived at the office of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Jos, Plateau state.
It has been gathered Mailafia arrived at the Jos office of the secret police around 12:10pm
in the company of his wife, Margaret Vou, and Lawyer, Yakubu Bawa.
While speaking with journalists at the venue, he said he was not told the reason for the fresh invitation, noting
“I was not told the reason for this invitation but I have to honour the invitation as a loyal and obedient citizen of this country.
hen also ended by saying: “I believe in this country.”
Dr. Mailafia was last week interrogated by the DSS in connection with a statement he made that a northern governor is a commander of the Boko Haram terrorist group in Nigeria.
He was grilled for six hours by the DSS operatives before he was later released unconditionally.
The DSS was said to have extended a fresh invitation to him after he was previously released.
