Senator Bayo Osinowo, Dies At 64

Hitting the media today is the death of Senator Bayo Osinowo, senator representing Lagos East senatorial district, has died at age 64.

Senator Bayo Osinowo was an All Progressives Congress, APC, stalwart and lawmaker, he was a former member of Lagos State House of Assembly for 16 years.

Senator Bayo Osinowo was said to have died of COVID-19 complications, there were conflicting reports that he had been at the special intensive unit of Lagos cardiologist centre, Ikoyi, on COVID-19 treatment.

Another report had it that three days earlier, he was taking in at the Yaba Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) before his death on Monday, June 15th.

The late lawmaker was elected into the Senate on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on February 23, during the last general elections.

Until his death, he served as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Industry, and Investment.
